To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar Games have announced that the iconic title, which was the first third-person perspective game in the series, is to appear on select mobile devices.
GTA III is set to release later this autumn on:
- iPad 2
- iPhone 4S
- Droid X2
- HTC Evo 2
- LG Optimus 2X
- Motorola Atrix
- Samsung Galaxy S2
- Acer Iconia
- Asus Eee Pad
- Motorola Xoom
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
It is also the first third-person Grand Theft Auto game to appear on smartphones and tablets, after top-down title Chinatown Wars appeared on the iPhone and iPad in 2010. No specific release date was given.
