One Year of Press X or Die

Today marks PressXorDie’s first anniversary. It’s been a pretty good year. We’re nowhere in the big leagues yet, but we’re doing pretty well. For me, Press X or Die has been about personal growth; extending my video game hobby as well as improving my writing skills, which is still a work in progress. After making a Steam group and a forum, I guess it was only natural I make a video game blog too. Next on the agenda is a studio, I think. It’s been a nice journey over the past year. We’ve extended our team to nearly 20 strong and they’re pretty ace guys which I’ve enjoyed writing with. And I’m still looking forward to welcoming more into the fold. We’ve written some interesting opinion pieces, features, some pretty good guest articles and, while mostly late, got a nice repository of reviews going. And this is all just in our first year. We’re still young and finding our feet, the only way is up and the future is looking pretty bright.

So thank you to everyone who’s written for Press X or Die, and thank you to everyone who’s been reading the site. I hope you’ve enjoyed the past year as much as I have, and I hope you’ll continue to do so for many years more.

Welcome to Press X or Die

  1. I think if we make a game studio it’s mandatory to have the final boss fight just be a string of quick time events. Assuming we keep the name that is.

  2. I’ve only been part of the team now for ~6 months but it feels a lot longer than that to be honest. Maybe it seems dragged out because I haven’t had the most ideal of working conditions to go with it, but it’s certainly been an enjoyable period of time.

    Long may it continue! :D
