Kinect Price and Release Date Revealed

Kinect

Microsoft has announced that Kinect is going to cost $150 at launch, that should come as no surprise to anyone, many retailers have listed the price at $150 over the last month. The release date for Kinect is November 4th, just 15 days after the release of the Playstation Move. For those who don’t own a 360, there will be a Kinect bundle which will cost $300 though the internal memory of the 360 will only be 4GB.

There’s no confirmation of a price or release date outside of the US yet.

Update: Kinect will cost £129.99 in the UK, which is almost $200.

  1. I don’t really see this as taking any part of Nintendo’s market away. If anything, it’ll end up as egg on MSFT’s face, due to the games they will use to support it upon release. The core gamers will not appreciate getting sold out for MS to pander to a more casual audience.

Sony is doing this right with their motion control scheme. -My $ .02
