The Humble Indie Bundle

I know we haven’t updated for a while due to time constraints on all of us here but I felt that this deserved sharing.

Indie game dev Wolfire has teamed up with other popular indie devs to bring you The Humble Indie Bundle, a group of five indie games, World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, and Penumbra: Overture.  The best part is that they’re letting you set the price you want to pay. Although you could pay as low as a cent for this usual $80 bundle you’d be cruel to do so as, by default, 2/7th of the money you donate goes to charities like Penny Arcade’s “Childs Play”. You can however alter this however you’d like, sending all the money to charity if you’d like. There’s also no middle man to worry about either so, besides credit card fees, you can know that all money is going directly to who you intended it too.

As of now the highest amount paid for the bundle is a hefty 500 big ones.  I’ll be donating as much as I can and I hope we see clever ideas like this coming from the indie crowd.
